If you have a MagicJack, then you probably know that sometimes it just hiccups for no apparent reason. You plug it into your PC USB port and it prompts you to connect it. (But it already is connected) You may get a "Warning you must plug MagicJack to USB" error or a "the drive is not ready for use its door may be open" error.
All in all, your MagicJack is not connecting or loading up. Here is a solution that has worked for me 100% of the time in fixing my MagicJack problem. Follow the steps below:
1. Unplug the MagicJack Dongle from the USB port.
2. Delete the mjusbsp folder under: <Drive letter>:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\
3. Load Regedit and delete the following registry key entry located under the following registry key path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_YMAX&PROD_MagicJack&Rev_2.00
4.Exit the Regedit utility.
5. Plug the MagicJack Dongle back into the USB port.
Note: MagicJack should automatically reinitialize and load up normally. If it doesn’t reinitialize and work normally, download and run the UPGRADE.EXE program from MagicJack.

My Jack was messed up also, However the Upgrade did the trick for me.. Even though it did start, I always wondered what happened to the drives in my computer, I said to myself (self) try the upgrade…Then i proceeded to step one as outlined…I started the upgrade and my Kaspersky went off and asked to scan the new drive found …In the past I've said no cause i didn't know magicjack was asking,This time with nothing to lose i said yes..And wonders never cease …The Drives restored the MagicJack is on a full roll again…I plugged MagicJack back in the USB Port and restarted the computer.
