I was asked if it was possible to download YouTube videos and then burn them to DVD so that one can watch them on their DVD players. The answer is a resounding, yes.
There are many ways to do this: There are slow ways involving several steps and software programs and there are quick ways involving a few steps. There are many software packages that can do the job; some free, some not free.
So, what I am going to present here what I personally feel is the fastest and easiest way to download YouTube Videos and then burn them to DVD disc.
Here is what you will need and why:
- YouTube Catcher (Free) – This will let you quickly and easily download YouTube Video To Your PC.
- DVD Detective FLV Converter – This will quickly convert your YouTube videos to AVI video format.
- ConvertXtoDVD – This will quickly burn your AVI videos to DVD with excellent quality.
Also, what is very important when burning any video file to DVD is the blank DVD media you use. Trust me on this. Do not just use any blank DVD media (DVD-Rs) you see. I highly, recommend that you use the Verbatim Digital Movie DVD-R blank DVD discs.
You can purchase them at any Best Buy store. Please note that you cannot just copy a YouTube video(s) to DVD without first converting it to AVI or another compatible format.
The procedure I have outlined is a surefire way to do the job. Like I said earlier, there are other ways but you will have headache and frustration especially if you are not tech-savvy. Invest in the tools you need and you will really be happy with the results in the long run.
